Waheguru Desk Greeting

Radio desk and Cyber Athens soft-open often begin with a short Waheguru-form salutation — borrowed with respect from Sikh tradition — before station business.

This article is a stub. Short placeholder only — expand as lore is written.

In Cyber Athens radio culture, a Waheguru greeting is the desk’s preferred soft open: a breath, a bow of the voice, then the full formula —

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Operators treat it as signal before signal — a reminder that the mic is not the sovereign. This article is a stub.

Desk etiquette

  1. Say it clean (no laugh track under the sacred line).
  2. If a guest answers in kind, answer again — don’t rush the bumper.
  3. Optional short form between trusted operators: simply Waheguru.
  4. Never use the greeting as roast fuel. Sacred nonsense may follow after the bow — shrimp bits, Glåüm bubbles — but not as the bow.

Recorded so far

  • Borrowed with respect from Sikh tradition; living Sikhs are not NPCs.
  • Used on Media Empire Radio desks before business.
  • Credit public explainers; do not dump scripture blocks.
